The Order of the Lily and the Eagle is a contemporary center of initiatic wisdom. Its teachings are directed towards the transformation and liberation of our personality, for human personality is the keystone for our expression during our life on Earth.

The advice, Know Thyself, carved on the entrance to the Oracle at Delphi, suggests a serious inner work which can mark a beginning of the journey towards increasingly awakened consciousness. Pythagoras’ follow-up to this advice is less frequently quoted: “Man know Thyself and thou shalt know the Universe and God.”

The watchword of the Order of the Lily and the Eagle is freedom. Therefore, the Order has no dogmas and does not invite blind belief in the teachings it offers. The aim of its teaching is to free the members from arbitrary moralities, beliefs and customs of society that enchain their thinking and feeling, preventing the true expression of their liberated personality.

The Order of the Lily and the Eagle is non-sectarian, has no religious or political affiliations, and is independent of any other Order or initiatic organization, church, political movement, or philosophical association.

In the Order, the work of inner development is pursued through the effort and will of each individual aspirant. To make good use of the teachings of the initiatic tradition, it is necessary to actively engage oneself in work to become strong and free: This means to question all inherited beliefs, so as to liberate oneself from pre-judgments and preconceived opinions, to break free from the chains of the conditioned, personal, egoistic sense of self. The individual work is to attain a level of consciousness where one’s personality is free to express a genuine response to each moment.

The Order’s teachings provide members with tools to create their own understanding through experience, meditation, reasoning, and introspection so as to develop a free and unique expression of his or her own personality. This inner work leads naturally to a positive influence on others and in society, and to the practicing of charity in our material, psychic and mental life.

The motto of the Order is:

Love And Reciprocity Established In The Heart Of Humanity
